Mask Up Everyone!!
Hello Members,
Please see the communication from the City of Airdrie.
In a nutshell, masks are required everywhere in the Airdrie Arenas effective immediately. The only time players, coaches, or on ice staff will not wear masks is on the ice. Please remember it is a privilege to be a member of our minor hockey association and all members will be expected to follow the City of Airdrie guidelines.

The Alberta Government released a health order (CMOH 22-2021) this morning that requires mask use in all indoor public spaces as of 8:00AM on September 4th. We are attempting to receive clarity/direction from our public health contacts on specifics and exemptions related to recreation. Until we have solid direction from our health officials we are offering the following guidance for Genesis Place / Arenas beginning on Saturday, September 4th:
Masks ARE required when:
- You’re in a common area (this includes hallways, change rooms, dressing rooms, spectator areas, entrances, etc).
- You’re walking to your activity.
- You’re not participating in an activity (checking in at Customer Service, or spectating).
Masks ARE NOT required when:
- You’re participating in any physical activity (working out, walking the track, swimming, playing sports, etc).
- You’re moving from one piece of fitness equipment to another during your workout.
- You’re under the age of 2.
- You have an underlying medical condition preventing you from wearing a mask.
