Tournament Booking Process:
1 - Check applicable League Blackout and Free Dates (tiering round, tiering break, regular season, Xmas break, etc)
2 - Check AMHA Home tournament dates
3 - Survey your team to see what the majority wants in regards to how many tournaments, travel distance, overnights, etc. (Make sure to comply with the Hockey Alberta division recommendations and caps for tournament entries/year)
4 - Search Hockey Alberta website (https://www.hockeyalberta.ca/tournaments/) for applicable tournaments (see steps below)
5 - Submit tournament registration and fee
6 - Apply for travel permit for ALL away tournaments (even if they are in Zone 6)
Once your tournament registration is confirmed:
1 - Book Hotel accommodations if required
2 - Book team building events or hotel meeting room as time permits
3 - Plan team itinerary (including meal options)
1 - Visit https://www.hockeyalberta.ca/tournaments/;
2 - Filter for the applicable zone, start date, end date, and division
3 - Export the filtered tournament list
4 - Share and review the list with your team.
