Christmas Hamper Collection

Airdrie Minor Hockey is a community of caring, and we are part of the larger community of the City of Airdrie. The Airdrie First Club (Formerly the Lioness Club of Airdrie) founded their hamper program nearly 50 years ago in 1977 and has been helping families in Airdrie have a joyful Christmas ever since. AMHA has been an active participant in this program for the last 15+ seasons. Each season Airdrie First asks us for a specific item or type of gift that we can provide in bulk to be added to all of the hampers. Our members have always been very generous in their donations to ensure that all the community that provides so much support to our association receives the support it needs from us. Airdrie Minor Hockey has 1370 players, if each player brings an item for the hamper we can make a difference to a family that is struggling to provide a memorable holiday for their children and teenagers. Teenagers are notoriously difficult to buy (as many of us can attest!) which is why the challenge of lighting their eyes falls to us. Around 65% of our athletes are teenagers, so take them out and find that perfect item to share the joy of giving this holiday season! Our Christmas Hamper collection bin is located in the Lobby at Ron Ebbesen Arena, the office staff will be emptying it and if you are leaving gift cards you can bring them directly to the office, or put them in an envelope and slide them under our door!
