Hello AMHA Families,
Airdrie Minor Hockey Association (AMHA) would like to invite all of our members to our 2026 Annual General Meeting on May 12, 2026 at 6:30 PM.
What: Notice of Annual General Meeting (AGM)
When: Tuesday, May 12, 2026, 6:30 PM
Where: Airdrie Public Library- Presenter Space
Who: Meeting is open to all members in good standing with AMHA. Each member, in good standing and in attendance will get 1 vote per family, regardless of the number of children in the program.
Why: Order of Business, including:
Adopting the agenda
Adopting the minutes of the 2025 AGM
Intro and Acknowledgement of current Board
Review of the financial statements
President’s report
Election results for 2026-2027 Board of Directors and Operational Directors & Coordinators
Election for vacant Board of Director positions that were not filled through online voting
*NEW* FOR THE 2026 AGM- ADVANCE VOTING
At the special meeting in February the new bylaws that were introduced allow for advance votes online for all board positions. The new process will be as follows:
April 14th- Nominations Open for all eligible positions
Members in good standing can complete the online nomination form to nominate themselves or others to 1 position on the board.
April 14th- Voter Registrations begins
Members must Register to Vote using the online form. Those wishing to attend the AGM will also indicate their intentions to attend on this form.
April 26th- Online Voter Registration closes
April 27th- Nominations Close for all positions
April 29th- Voting begins via online form
In order to receive the voting link, members must complete the voter registration form.
May 5th- Voting Close
May 12th- Announcement of successful candidates at the AGM. Any Board of Directors voting role that remains unfilled after May 5th (due to lack of nominations) must be filled at the AGM

Please review the overview of each volunteer position on the AMHA website under the Information -AGM Tab to give you an idea of the responsibilities for each of the board roles or speak to a current board member to get their feedback on the demands of the positions.
QUESTIONS FOR THE AGM
AMHA members in good standing may submit questions for the current board to respond to using the AGM Member Questions form. Answers will be posted on the AMHA website. The deadline to submit questions is May 5th, 2026.
Questions outside of those submitted will not be accepted during the AGM Meeting.
